ABOUT GLASSROOM COMPANY

💎 Glassroom Company is a queer-led, artist-run platform for bold storytelling, cultural commentary, and industry innovation — producing theatre, film, digital content, and unapologetic queer joy. 💎

Founded in 2017 in Adelaide by actor and producer Jack Calver (while still in high school), Glassroom began as a theatre company — debuting with Clanstow at the 2018 Adelaide Fringe to sold-out audiences, followed by Blackrock in 2019. After a three-year hiatus, Glassroom relaunched in 2023 in Sydney with Unfair Verona at the Sydney Dance Company to rave reviews, before returning to its hometown roots in 2024 with a season at The Mill in Adelaide.

In 2025, the company expanded into film and digital media — producing short films (Compulsion, sex ed ft. Sabrina Carpenter), launching the AI Hot Seat interview series, and introducing Glassroom Reviews for critiques on local theatre productions. Online, Glassroom is a hub for actors and creatives: posting four weekly with industry advice, memes, inspiration, and irreverent insights — built around a mission to empower queer voices and set new standards in performance, visuals, and storytelling.

With a focus on excellence, identity, and liberation, Glassroom proves that artists can lead, own, and elevate culture. As we prepare to relocate to London in 2025, keep tuned — because this is just the beginning. 💎

Glassroom Theatre Company would like to acknowledge the Gadigal people of the Eora nation, who are the traditional custodians of the land we create and tell stories on today. We would also like to pay our respects to all Elders past and present, and to the children of today who are the Elders of the future. Sovereignty has never been ceded. It always was and always will be, Aboriginal land.
